Six industries,
six acquisition playbooks
We don’t do every industry — we focus on 6 core B2B manufacturing sectors.
Not just six names, but six field-tested playbooks that all start with market testing.
Each playbook answers six questions: who the buyers are, how to reach them, how they decide, common pitfalls, which markets, and where to start.
The playbooks differ because buyer decision paths differ — but the starting point is the same: test the market first.
01 Machinery
📍SEA infrastructure / EU equipment replacementGeneral machinery, construction machinery and machine tools — buyers are mostly overseas factories and distributors with long decision chains that weigh specs and trust.
“Spec comparison → sample / factory audit → price negotiation” in three stages, 3–9 months. Distributors and end factories search with different keywords — both lines need pages to catch them.
02 Industrial Equipment
📍Europe / N. America / Middle EastProduction lines, testing equipment, automation — high ticket sizes with heavy online research before decisions.
Internal research before project approval (tech docs · peer case references) → supplier shortlist → negotiation / tender. Research can run for months — whoever’s content shows up during it makes the list.
03 New Energy
📍Europe / Middle East / LatAmSolar, storage, EV charging and components — strongly policy-driven; market heat and certification barriers vary by country.
Policy / subsidy-driven project approval → certification and compliance screening → supplier comparison and capacity checks. Compliance is a veto — certification content is your first acquisition gateway.
04 Medical Devices
📍Regulated EU/US markets firstFinished devices, consumables and precision CDMO parts — compliance-driven buyers who weigh certifications and quality systems.
Compliance pre-screening → quality system review → samples / factory audit. Decision-makers spread across registration, R&D and procurement lines — each role researches and searches differently.
05 Auto Parts
📍NA AM / EU OEMOEM supply and aftermarket (AM) are two different games — buyer structures and search habits differ completely.
OEM runs on system audits and annual sourcing cycles measured in years; AM buyers search instantly by “model + part number” and care about coverage, stock and shipping speed — the two rarely overlap.
06 Electronic Components
📍Globally scattered; research happens onlinePassive components, connectors, PCB — model-driven search where specs and stock availability close deals.
Engineers search by model / spec → compare datasheets → request samples → small trial orders. The whole journey happens online; page speed and spec completeness directly win or lose the trial order.
